NFIA, helping your business grow in Europe

NFIA India, located at the Embassy of the Netherlands in New Delhi, is the appropriate government agency to assist Indian companies to set up its establishment (e.g. European headquarters, distribution operations, R&D facility or customer care centres) in the Netherlands.

2011 ended with over 160 establishments of Indian companies in the Netherlands

The Netherlands posted record foreign direct investment results for 2011. The NFIA supported the attraction of 193 projects, representing 4,358 jobs and planned investment of $1.95 billion.  

NFIA India actively supported a total of 10 Indian investment projects in the Netherlands in 2011.  To date, more than 160 establishments of Indian companies have been set up in the Netherlands to leverage the advantages it offers as a gateway to Europe.                                                              

The Netherlands remains a stable, highly competitive and increasingly attractive location for foreign companies to establish operations as is evident from the highest ever number of projects brought in by the NFIA in 2011.

The Netherlands emerges as the best place for business in Europe: Bloomberg ranking

The Netherlands is the world’s second best place to do business, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Hong Kong took first place as per the rankings. 
Bloomberg Rankings measured 160 markets on a scale of zero to 100 percent based on six factors. These are the costs of setting up business, hiring and moving goods; the degree of economic integration; less tangible costs such as inflation and corruption; and the readiness of the local consumer base, a category that includes the size of the middle class, household consumption and gross domestic product per person.
The Netherlands ran second, reflecting the appeal of an economy with five major ports and easy access to mainland Europe.
